Challenging
High above the serpentine Al Hada road, this viewpoint looks over stacked hairpins, deep valleys and the plains toward Makkah, making it the classic first mountain panorama for riders arriving from Jeddah.
Ride defensively on the climb; traffic is heavy with buses, families and distracted drivers, plus fog and baboons near the top, so it’s best enjoyed as a smooth, controlled ascent with stops only at safe lay-bys.
Easy
A working rose farm and distillery between Taif and Al Hada, where you can walk the fields and see Taif roses turned into oils and waters, with a café-style rest area that feels like a soft cultural break mid-ride.
Access is via good paved roads but expect slow cars, tour buses and pedestrians turning into the farm; roll in gently, park off the main road, then use this stop to rehydrate, sample products and reset before climbing again.
Easy
A large city park in Taif with lawns, rocky backdrops, a central lake and night fountain shows, giving riders an easy, low-stress place to cool down, walk, and grab snacks after a full day on the surrounding mountain roads.
Reach it via in-town streets; traffic and parking get busy in evenings and on weekends, so treat the last kilometers as slow urban riding, watching for families, kids and crossings before parking in a visible, well-lit spot.
